Residents

Cody Guggenmos, DO

I’m just a farm boy from northern Nebraska. I spent most of my life checking cows and planting corn before running off to Colorado to become a doctor, and decided I should probably stick around for residency too! I love to play sports and stay active during my free time, and would love to discuss the finer points of Husker football or Premier League soccer with you. I also love traveling, and global medicine is a particular passion of mine. I even met my beautiful fiancée on one of the mission trips I took to Ecuador! Looking forward to getting married soon and sharing this crazy journey with someone else!

Sarah White, DO

Hello! My name is Sarah White, and I grew up in Conifer, CO. From there I traveled to California for undergrad at the University of San Diego, Cleveland Ohio to work with refugees, Erie Pennsylvania for medical school at LECOM and allll over the country for medical rotations only to happily land back in the best place in the world for residency! I like the outdoors, hiking, skiing, running, singing really loud in the car, and plinking around on the guitar. I am passionate about primary care and so grateful to be a part of the team at Sky Ridge Family Medicine residency!

Kindra Galloway, DO

I am Kindra Galloway from Nampa, Idaho. I moved to Virginia for medical school, and for residency, I decided to head back West to be closer to my family. I enjoy competing in the annual family Easter egg hunt, winning any sort of table game or yard game, bingeing on a good Netflix show, playing beach volleyball, and eating Pica Fresa Mexican candy.

Brandon Hoy, DO

I am Brandon Hoy from Findlay, OH. I moved to Colorado right after high school in search of the wild west and a ranch to call my own. I enjoy hiking with my family, watching and playing soccer, and doing anything else active! I do a pretty good Kermit the Frog impression, additionally... it is impossible to do a jumping high five without smiling.

Amanda Torczynski, MD

My name is Amanda Torczynski, and I grew up in Dallas Texas. I came to Denver because I fell in love with the natural beauty around the city, and I came to Rocky Vista University because of their passion for primary care! My interests and hobbies include caring for abandoned/orphaned animals, environmental conservation, yoga, running, meditation, painting, vegan cooking, hiking, and travel. I love animals, and am something of a crazy cat lady.

Phillip Miller, DO

Originally from Maryland, Phil moved to Colorado for medical school at Rocky Vista University. While at RVU, he took an additional year to study and teach Traditional Osteopathic Medicine (neuromuscular medicine) and run a non-profit clinic treating patients in the community. While undertaking additional coursework outside the standard curriculum he met and fell in love with his wife. Together they love to be in the outdoors, hiking their adorable maltipoo, Aria, soaking in the Colorado sun and hanging out in the trees. In the future, they look forward to having a practice together utilizing his knowledge of Family and Neuromuscular Medicine and her trauma therapy and coaching background.

Ashley Chen, DO

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley, and I am a native of Malibu, CA. For my undergraduate degree, I went to Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, then to medical school at Rocky Vista University, did a preliminary year in New York City, and then came back to Denver for Sky Ridge Family Medicine. Like all true Californians, I love my ocean, but the incredible Rocky Mountains makes me forget myself and causes me to do all sorts of things like hike and ski and camp and take endless photos of surrounding nature (I particularly like clouds, sunsets and flowers as my subjects). I’m grateful and excited to be a part of the Sky Ridge Family!

Mollie Ebner, DO

Mollie Ebner was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest on the bustling streets of Portland, Oregon. From a young age she showed great interest in the fields of science and education. After completing her undergraduate degree at Oregon State University, she packed her bags and moved to Seoul, South Korea. There she had many adventures and learned valuable lessons about communication and culture. Upon her return to the United States she enrolled in Western University COMP-NW to continue the enrichment of her mind in the field of medicine. Mollie discovered many passions in her studies including nutrition based medicine, OMM, and preventative care. As she sets out on her next journey to Colorado to complete her Family Medicine Residency, she is accompanied by her partner in adventure, and her pestilent cat, Stria. Mollie is excited about this new endeavor and the people she is going to meet along the way. She enjoys biking, hiking, rafting, traveling, and cooking, as well as many a game night.

Sterling Adams, DO

My name is Sterling Adams. I grew up mostly in Salt Lake City, Utah. I then lived in Southern Bolivia for two years, got my bachelors degree in Biology at Brigham Young University and went to Kansas City University for medical school. I am married to a California babe and have a tuxedo cat named Formal. I was attracted to Denver because of the access to many outdoor recreational activities. I love getting outdoors camping, hiking, biking, longboarding, river rafting, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing, etc. and I love to explore. I also love creating art, such as oil painting and I feel like that is a huge stress reliever for me along with meditation and trying to live as much as I can in the present moment. I want to spend my career as a well-rounded physician practicing in a rural community. The connections the HealthONE family medicine residency program has to communities in Colorado and the residencies desire to train well rounded physicians attracted me to this program. In conclusion, my favorite color is green and I love drinking yerba mate.

I look forward to the next few years of residency training and working with patients here at Cornerstone Family Practice.
